Embassies, trade missions, country residences, staff housing, cultural centres, research stations and memorials that the Soviet Union built or acquired outside its borders. The section lists 429 objects, each with its address, years, function, present owner and a status that carries a source and a date.
No complete public register of this property exists: the records are kept by state bodies and church administrations and are not published. Published estimates of Soviet objects alone range from a few thousand to some twenty thousand, counting flats, warehouses and plots of land. The atlas shows only what at least two independent open sources confirm and grows as objects are checked. A status is a reference note with a link to a publication, not a legal opinion.
