A triumphal arch of white granite, opened in 1982 at the foot of Moranbong Hill. At 60 meters tall, it is higher than the Paris arch that served as its prototype; it is built from 25,500 granite blocks and decorated with reliefs. It is one of Pyongyang's recognizable monuments.
