SwitzerlandЖенева1960Public buildings
The compound stands on the grounds of the Villa Blanche, built around 1855 for the painter Etienne Duval. The architectural census of the Canton of Geneva records a 1960 building at this address (architects Alfred Damay and Michel Brugger) and lists an auditorium with annexes and residential blocks of the 'former Permanent Mission of the Soviet Union to the United Nations'. Today it houses the Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN Office and other international organisations in Geneva.
