A masonry parish church in the Neo-Byzantine style, built in Choroszcz, then part of the Russian Empire, on the site of an earlier wooden one: according to the town newspaper, the parishioners decided in the 1860s to build it from their own contributions and donations, and it was completed and consecrated in 1878. It follows a standard design on a Greek-cross plan, with a small dome and five turrets over the crossing.
The monument register of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage of Poland (Podlaskie Voivodeship; as of 30 June 2026) lists the building as the Orthodox parish Church of the Protection of the Mother of God, third quarter of the 19th century (No. A-380 of 12 November 1987).
