A barracks complex at today's ul. Bema 100, built in 1887–1893; Białystok was then part of the Russian Empire. Around the parade ground stood brick staff buildings, officers' housing and three two-storey barrack blocks, each for two squadrons; until 1914 the 4th Mariupol Hussar Regiment was quartered here. After the First World War the barracks were taken over by the Polish Army, and after the Second World War by border-protection units. The main buildings survive; the guardhouse, the riding hall and a number of 1887 blocks are entered in the register of monuments.
