PolandВаршава1885–1890Military sites
The southernmost fort of the outer ring of the Warsaw Fortress, whose works were erected in 1885–1890; the Kingdom of Poland was then part of the Russian Empire. The fort's brick barracks consist of two parts joined at an angle. From the end of the Second World War until 1990 the site belonged to the Polish Army. In 2005 the Military Property Agency sold the undeveloped part of the fort; in 2019 the Fort Służew housing estate was built at its rear, and the surviving rampart, moat and barracks were renovated.
