An artillery fort of the outer ring of the Warsaw Fortress, built in 1883–1886 to the 1879 model design; the Kingdom of Poland was then part of the Russian Empire. The earth-and-brick work with two ramparts and a wet moat had three caponiers and a single-storey gorge barracks; during modernisation the caponiers were rebuilt in concrete. Under the 1909 order abolishing the fortress the caponiers were blown up in summer 1913 and the remaining works disarmed. After the Second World War the fort was used by the Polish Army; it was entered in the register of monuments in 2001 and put up for sale by the Military Property Agency in 2002.
