The Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity was built in the 1870s in Łomża, then part of the Kingdom of Poland within the Russian Empire: according to Polish Wikipedia, the decision to build was taken in 1873, while the monument register dates the building to 1877. From 1885 the church had the status of a cathedral, and in 1893 its interior was painted. After 1918 the building passed to the Roman Catholic Church and became the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
