The masonry church in the Byzantine style was built for the Orthodox parish in a village then part of the Kingdom of Poland within the Russian Empire: the monument register and Polish Wikipedia date it to 1895 (Wikipedia names Viktor Sychugov as the designer), the website of the Diocese of Siedlce to 1890–1907. In 1918 the building was consecrated as a Roman Catholic church, and the Catholic parish was re-established the following year.
