The brick Church of Sts Peter and Paul was built in 1890 for the soldiers of the garrison in Wojciechowice (now a district of Ostrołęka), where the treasury had erected barracks in 1888; Ostrołęka was then part of the Kingdom of Poland within the Russian Empire. According to the parish, in 1915, after the Russian troops left, the building served as a Protestant church and then as a warehouse. In 1918 it was adapted as a Roman Catholic church, which was a garrison church between the wars; since 1975 the parish has been run by the Pallottines.
