ItalyРим1931–1932Public buildings
The oldest Russian parish in Italy: the embassy church was established in 1803. Princess Maria Chernysheva bequeathed her house at Via Palestro 71 to the Russian church; because of legal complications the parish took possession only in 1931, and on 10 April 1932 the house church of St. Nicholas was consecrated in the palazzo. In 1927–2000 the parish belonged to the Russian Church Abroad, and since 2000 to the Moscow Patriarchate.
