A Moscow Patriarchate church on a hill next to Villa Abamelek, the residence of the Russian ambassador to Italy. Fundraising for a Russian church in Rome was approved by Nicholas II in 1913, but it was not built at the time; the foundation stone was blessed in January 2001, the minor consecration took place in May 2006 and the great consecration on 24 May 2009. The design is by architect Andrei Obolensky.
