A monument to soldiers of the 5th Guards Army commissioned by the Soviet Military Administration and made in 1945 by sculptor Otto Rost; it was unveiled on 25 November 1945 on today's Albertplatz. A bronze group of two Red Army soldiers with a banner stands on a pedestal of red Meissen granite. In 1994 the city council had the monument moved to Olbrichtplatz, next to the Military History Museum; it is a protected cultural monument.

Памятник воинам 5-й гвардейской армии, выполненный в 1945 году по заказу Советской военной администрации скульптором Отто Ростом; открыт 25 ноября 1945 года на нынешней Альбертплац. Бронзовая группа из двух красноармейцев со знаменем установлена на постаменте из красного мейсенского гранита. В 1994 году по решению городского совета памятник перенесён на Ольбрихтплац, к Военно-историческому музею; состоит под охраной как памятник культуры.
