The administrative complex on Jagdschänkenstraße in Chemnitz-Siegmar was erected in the first half of the 1950s for the Soviet uranium-mining joint-stock company Wismut, which became the Soviet-German company SDAG Wismut on 1 January 1954. Its two monumental main buildings are in a neoclassical idiom; No. 29 housed the company's management. Under the agreement of 16 May 1991 the joint activity ended and the 50 % Soviet share passed to the German side.
