The four-storey administrative building at the corner of Rheinpfalzallee and Grafenauer Weg in Berlin's Karlshorst district was built around 1948 for the Soviet Military Administration in Germany; the monument database names the architect Franke as the executor of the design. According to the Berlin Monument Authority it is one of the few structures erected specifically for the Soviet side, which normally reused existing buildings. Until 1958 the building was used by the GDR Ministry of Coal and Energy, later by other GDR agencies. It is a listed monument (no. 09040124).

Четырёхэтажное административное здание на углу Райнпфальцаллее и Графенауэр-Вег в берлинском районе Карлсхорст построено около 1948 года по заказу Советской военной администрации в Германии; исполнителем проекта в базе памятников указан архитектор Франке. По сведениям Берлинского ведомства по охране памятников, это одна из немногих построек, возведённых специально для советской стороны: обычно использовались уже существовавшие здания. До 1958 года здание занимало министерство угля и энергетики ГДР, затем другие ведомства ГДР. Состоит под охраной как памятник (№ 09040124).

According to the Berlin Monument Authority (page updated in August 2022), the building passed to GDR agencies as early as the 1950s and is now administered by the federal property office; part of it houses an educational institution.
