St. Vladimir Orthodox Church, Mariánské Lázně

1900–1902Public buildings
The church was built in 1900–1902, replacing a prayer room that had operated in the town hall since 1878, with donations from Russian and Serbian spa guests. It was designed by the St Petersburg architect Nikolai Sultanov and built by Gustav Wiedermann of Františkovy Lázně. The interior holds a majolica iconostasis made at Kuznetsovo near Tver, which won the grand prize at the 1900 Paris World Exhibition. Since 1951 the church has belonged to the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
