1887–1889Public buildings
The oldest Orthodox church in what is now the Czech Republic, built in 1887–1889 in the Russo-Byzantine style by builder Gustav Wiedermann. Funds were raised over several spa seasons by a committee founded by Dr Friedrich Boschan; donors were mainly spa guests from Russia and other Slavic countries. Before 1917 it was attached to the Russian churches in Weimar and Dresden; since 1951 it has belonged to the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
