A fishing port in Havana Bay designed to serve 120 deep-sea fishing vessels. According to an FAO report, in August 1963 the governments of Cuba and the USSR agreed to build it; the Soviet side provided a credit covering the full cost of construction, which Cuba repaid by servicing Soviet fishing vessels for ten years. The 14-hectare port with quays, a cold store and repair shops came into operation in 1966; the marker is placed at the Flota Cubana de Pesca bus stop at the port gate.
In the pilots' guide to the Port of Havana posted on the Cubadebate site in September 2018, quays 1 and 2 of the Havana Fishing Port are listed as operational, while quay 1-A is closed for operations.
