A small stone memorial church, founded on 8 September 1911 and completed in 1912 in the middle of the Russian military cemetery in Mukden in memory of the soldiers who fell in the war of 1904–1905. The plot of 13,085 square metres was bought by the Russian government in 1902; construction was directed by Yu. P. Zhdanov, a civil engineer of the Chinese Eastern Railway. The cemetery was built over in the second half of the 20th century, while the church building survived, was recognised as an immovable monument of the city of Shenyang and was long used as a warehouse.
