AustriaПинкафельд1945–1955Military sites
The Jäger barracks were built in 1929–1932 for the Austrian army; in 1938–1941 they were used by the Wehrmacht and then housed a military hospital. From April 1945 the barracks were used by Soviet troops; by 1950 they had largely been vacated, and a small Soviet detachment remained until 1955. After the withdrawal the barracks were renovated and from late 1955 again housed Austrian units; in 1967 they were named the Turba Barracks, and in 2014 they were sold.
