The Park of Memory at the Kyiv crematorium (1968–1981, architect A. Miletsky; reliefs by A. Rybachuk and V. Melnychenko). The concrete "Wall of Memory" bore bas-reliefs on themes ranging from the myth of Prometheus to postwar reconstruction; in 1982 the reliefs were deemed inconsistent with the official canon and covered over with concrete — the technical possibility of uncovering them remains to this day.

Vladimir Melnichenko (co-creator) stated in a 2018 interview with Focus.ua that "the budget for the complex was 3 million rubles including land and equipment" ("Бюджет комплекса составлял 3 млн руб. с землей и оборудованием"), with the Wall of Memory's separate budget being only 218,000 rubles. This is a participant recollection, not a primary state archival document. The figure covers the entire Parк pamyati complex (crematorium + halls + park infrastructure) built 1968–1981 in Soviet post-1961 rubles. No independent corroborating archival source was found.
