A memorial at the mass grave of soldiers who fell during the storming of the city in the spring of 1945, opened as early as 30 September 1945. At the centre of the ensemble is a five-sided granite obelisk 26 metres high with bands of epitaphs. It is one of the first monuments in the country dedicated to the memory of those who died in the war.
