The lowest of the capital's seven high-rises, built on Komsomolskaya Square to the design of Leonid Polyakov and Alexander Boretsky. The rectangular tower with its tented crown reaches 139 metres. The interiors were notable for their rich decoration in the traditions of Russian uzorochye ornamentation.
