Железнодорожный тоннель длиной около 6685 м под седловиной перевала Даван в Байкальском хребте — первый тоннель западного участка БАМа. Проходку вели три тоннельных отряда с двух порталов и от вертикального ствола; сдан досрочно. Лежит на границе Иркутской области и Бурятии.
A railway tunnel about 6,685 m long beneath the saddle of the Davan Pass in the Baikal Range — the first tunnel on the western section of the BAM. Excavation was carried out by three tunneling units from two portals and from a vertical shaft; it was completed ahead of schedule. It lies on the border between Irkutsk Oblast and Buryatia.
