A residential district in the centre of Warsaw (1950–1952) with the monumental Constitution Square, a key part of the plan for rebuilding the capital (led by Józef Sigalin and Stanisław Jankowski). It is the foremost example of Socialist Realist architecture in Poland; the square was opened on 22 July 1952.
