A monumental memorial house of the Bulgarian Communist Party on the Buzludzha peak (1981), resembling a landed "flying saucer." Abandoned after 1989, it preserved interior smalt mosaics covering about 500 m². Today it is an icon of socialist modernism and the subject of international heritage-conservation campaigns.
