The "flying saucer" on Lybidska (1971, architects F. Yuryev and L. Novikov) is the conference hall of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information, shaped like a paraboloid. Yuryev had conceived it as a theater of light-and-music; its bold form made the building an icon of Ukrainian modernism, recognized by the Vienna Architecture Museum.

«Летающая тарелка» на Лыбедской (1971, арх. Ф. Юрьев и Л. Новиков) — конференц-зал Института научно-технической информации в форме параболоида. Юрьев задумывал здесь театр светомузыки; смелая форма сделала постройку иконой украинского модернизма, отмеченной Венским музеем архитектуры.
