The parish was established in 1908, when a Russian Orthodox community separated within the Rusyn (Lemko) membership of the local St. Michael Brotherhood. In 1912 it built Saints Cyril and Methodius Church at the corner of Fairview and Ames Avenues. The original church, later enlarged, was replaced by the present building on the same site about 1979.
