A small hewn-spruce log church of the Dena'ina community, who were converted to Orthodoxy by Russian missionaries. According to the diocese, Chief Wasilla moved it from Knik to the present site in 1897; the National Register dates the building to about 1894 and the move to 1900. A new church was built alongside in 1962, the old one was restored in 1971 and listed on the US National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
There is no regular congregation: since 2011 parishioners have been merged with the mission in Wasilla; the diocese maintains the historic building and holds liturgies on certain feast days (parish directory, 2026).
