1937–1938Public buildings
The church was built in 1937–1938 with donations from the Russian community in memory of the ships of the Russian Squadron that arrived in Bizerte in 1920–1921; the protectorate authorities permitted an Orthodox association in Bizerte in January 1937. The parish was originally under the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and was later received, at the parishioners' request, into the Moscow Patriarchate.
