The small church was built in 1900–1901 with the blessing of Metropolitan Palladius of St Petersburg through the efforts of the St. Vladimir Brotherhood for Russian patients of the Görbersdorf health resort, then in Germany. It was consecrated on 3 September 1901 by Archpriest Alexei Maltsev, rector of the embassy church in Berlin. After 1945 the building was put to other uses and in 1980–1996 was privately owned as a summer house; it was then bought back by the Orthodox parish in Wrocław and, after renovation, returned to liturgical use.
