The Orthodox burial chapel of Grand Duchess Alexandra Pavlovna, daughter of Paul I and wife of Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary, who died in 1801. The neoclassical chapel was built by 1803 with funds from the Russian imperial family and consecrated that year by her confessor, Archpriest Andrei Samborsky. After the tomb was desecrated in 1981 the remains were kept in Buda Castle; in 2004 they were returned to the restored chapel, which belongs to the Hungarian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
