The Holy Protection community of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia was previously housed in a flat on Kulmbacher Straße. In 2007 it bought the plot at Wintersteinstraße 24 with a former municipal day-care building and converted it into a church and parish centre. On 7 March 2008 the keys were handed over to Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany, and on 13 October 2009 gilded domes were installed on the church.

Покровская община Русской православной церкви заграницей прежде размещалась в квартире на Кульмбахер-штрассе. В 2007 году она купила участок на Винтерштайнштрассе, 24 со зданием бывшего городского детского сада и перестроила его под храм и приходской центр. 7 марта 2008 года ключи от здания были переданы архиепископу Берлинскому и Германскому Марку, а 13 октября 2009 года на храме установили позолоченные купола.
