The parish of Russian émigrés in Meudon arose in 1924–1925. According to the parish website, in 1928 the engineer Serge Tchaïeff bought a plot on rue des Bigots and built a church there of solomite (a mixture of straw and clay). The land was purchased in 1975, the dilapidated building was dismantled in the late 1970s, and on 14 September 1980 the cornerstone of a new masonry church was laid; it was consecrated on 19 September 1982. The parish belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
