FranceНицца1903–1912Public buildings
The cathedral was founded in 1903 and consecrated in December 1912; its construction was financed by Emperor Nicholas II. From 1909 the site was held by the parish association under a long (emphyteutic) lease that expired on 31 December 2007. The Nice court on 20 January 2010, the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal on 19 May 2011 and the French Court of Cassation on 10 April 2013 recognised the cathedral as the property of the Russian Federation.
