A barracks area beside Häme Castle whose first brick buildings were erected in 1848–1851 for the Russian 7th Line Battalion to an 1845 design by the architect E. B. Lohrmann; Finland was then part of the Russian Empire. Building continued in the 1870s and 1910s: two brick soldiers' barracks and an infirmary from the founding period survive, along with a guardhouse and bakery of the 1860s, timber officers' houses of the 1880s and red-brick standard barracks of the 1910s. After the garrison left, the buildings housed an artillery museum, now Museo Militaria.

Museo Militaria.
