A polytechnic university complex in the Marianao district, opened in 1964 (chief architect Humberto Alonso). The buildings, arranged on a regular grid, are raised on pilotis in the spirit of Brutalism, with concrete volumes interwoven with tropical greenery. It is one of the symbols of post-revolutionary Cuban architecture.
