The parish was organised in 1903–1904 by settlers from Bukovina and Galicia; the first church was consecrated on Holy Trinity Day 1909 by Bishop Alexander (Nemolovsky). It burned down in 1928, and the present wood-frame cruciform domed church was built the same year under the direction of Harry Holowaychuk and consecrated by Bishop Arseny. The 1912 log priest's house and the 1916 bell tower survive on the site. The church was designated a Municipal Historic Resource in 2011; the parish belongs to the Archdiocese of Canada of the Orthodox Church in America.
